Be cunning, play brilliant, and master craps the ideal way!

Dice and dice games goes back to the Crusades, but modern craps is just about one hundred years old. Modern craps formed from the ancient Anglo game referred to as Hazard. Nobody absolutely knows the birth of the game, however Hazard is believed to have been invented by the Anglo, Sir William of Tyre, in the twelfth century. It’s presumed that Sir William’s soldiers gambled on Hazard during a blockade on the citadel Hazarth in 1125 AD. The title Hazard was derived from the fortification’s name.

Early French colonizers brought the game Hazard to Canada. In the 18th century, when banished by the English, the French headed down south and located refuge in the south of Louisiana where they after a while became Cajuns. When they departed Acadia, they brought their best-loved game, Hazard, with them. The Cajuns broke down the game and made it fair mathematically. It’s believed that the Cajuns altered the name to craps, which was acquired from the name of the losing throw of snake-eyes in the game of Hazard, recognized as "crabs."

From Louisiana, the game migrated to the Mississippi barges and throughout the nation. Most acknowledge the dice builder John H. Winn as the father of current craps. In 1907, Winn developed the current craps layout. He added the Do not Pass line so gamblers can wager on the dice to lose. Afterwords, he designed the boxes for Place wagers and put in place the Big 6, Big 8, and Hardways.
