Dice and dice games goes all the way back to the Crusades, but modern craps is approximately a century old. Current craps come about from the ancient English game referred to as Hazard. Early French settlers brought the game Hazard to Canada. In the 1700s, when expelled by the British, the French moved down south and discovered refuge in southern Louisiana where they after a while became known as Cajuns.
